Residential Gateway (RG)
The Residential Gateway (RG) connects the digital home to the service provider's network and facilitates the feature rich and secure IP services. BroadLight's high-speed packet processing technology provides the cost-performance needed for the FTTH connect home. The popular BL2338's embedded packet processor can be reconfigured from ONT bridging only to RG applications by means of GateMaker software. The BL2348 GPON RG SoC is a single chip solution that provides the unprecedented 1Gbps packet throughput while driving down cost by integrating with home networking interfaces.
