The Full Service Access Network (FSAN) Group is a forum for the world's leading telecommunications services providers, equipment vendors and technology suppliers to work towards a common goal of ubiquitous broadband access networks.
The FTTH Council Europe is an industry organisation whose mission is to accelerate the availability of fibre-based, ultra-high-speed access networks for the benefit of consumers and businesses. Created in 2004 by five founding members: Alcatel-Lucent, Cisco, Corning, Emtelle and OFS, the FTTH Council Europe now has more than 150 members and a contracted team working to promote the benefits of fibre access across the continent.
The FTTH Council Asia-Pacific is a non-profit organization established in 2005. The organization is building on the success of its sister organizations in the US and Europe to educate the industry and the general public on the opportunities and benefits of FTTH solutions. FTTH Council Asia-Pacific members represent all areas of broadband industries, including telecommunications, computing, networking, system integration, engineering and content-provider companies, as well as traditional telecommunications service providers, utilities and municipalities.
The Broadband Forum is a worldwide organization committed to rapidly creating specifications for communication service providers and vendors that: accelerate the development and deployment of broadband networks; foster successful interoperability; manage and deliver advanced IP services to the customer.
The Home Gateway Initiative (HGI), founded in 2004 by major broadband service providers (BSPs), and joined by leading vendors of digital home equipment, is shaping the way that IP services are delivered to the home. The HGI publishes requirements for digital home building blocks. Those building blocks are the hardware and software in the digital home that connect consumers and services. They include home
gateways, home networks, and home network devices.
